Hey y’all! I’m McKenzie Carlton, the face (and heart) behind MC Heelers. I’m 26 years old, and while my husband helps where he can, the dogs are definitely my thing!

I’ve been breeding Australian Cattle Dogs since 2022, and this year we proudly made the switch to AKC Australian Cattle Dogs. Before stepping into breeding full-time, I worked as a vet tech and dog bather, learning to be a groomer — so animal care has always been part of my life.

Heelers have always had my heart — their grit, demeanor, intelligence, and eager to please make them one of a kind. There’s truly a never dull moment with these guys! Growing up, my parents bred Australian Cattle Dogs too, which gave me a great foundation start on how to do things.

Here at MC Heelers, my goal is to produce quality. breed standard Australian cattle Dogs that represent both form and function — Heelers that can work and still curl up at your feet at night.

We’re Happy to announce that we will be officially set up for getting videos of our ACD’s working goats in beginning 2026 & our first AKC Conformation show is in January. As titles mean a lot to us, working stock means the most, and we are truly grateful we can do both! We’ve been trying to set ourselves up the best we can, it’s only a matter of time.
